Just a note to let you know I am still in the process of moving into my Substack.
Doing some research for decent podcast equipment: a microphone and whatever is needed to eliminate some of the echo in the room.
If you have experience with this kind of equipment I’d love it if you left some suggestions for me to check out.
I’m also building my sales page for one on one sessions with me - trying to keep it simple! I can be prone to over complicating business related stuff, but my business and I have become good friends. Less stress!
I’m also giving myself the talk about continueing to move through this mindfully and without all the uneccessary striving. When I hear “get it done yesterday!” - that’s the capitalist culture talking to me and I am not interested in fulfilling it’s demands. We all have to wrestle with it in some way, it’s the miasma we live in and have to try to survive in - but when I can I just don’t!! Doing business my way and it will either work or it won’t.
Regardless of what happens with my offering of one on one sessions, writing and art will still be made! Some writing I’ll set aside to send out to publishers, other things I’ll share here and on my podcast. My art isn’t something I seek to sell, it’s part of my Staying Sane Plan.
Thanks for coming along with me on this adventure!

I do voice acting and tons of audio recording. Maybe we can connect briefly & I can suggest. The easiest/fastest way to improve the sound is to surround your microphone with a box or pillows. No need to get a really expensive microphone when you do things like that. I have a Blue Yeti USB microphone in an Amazon box with foam on the inside for the computer when I need better sound. And other arrangements when my apartment is too noisy. It’s also easy to record audio on your phone in well padded places and then work with that. It doesn’t need to cost much - just creativity 😊
I love this Shyloh. Thank you for being a role model of how to share creative and therapeutic offerings in a way that isn't centered in ableist, white supremacist capitalist paradigms.
